The Registrant (You) are licensed to create, access and edit the Living Registry You have created through the Registry of Life website. You acknowledge that you are over the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, You acknowledge that You have obtained permission from a parent, guardian or other trust to create a Living Registry.
At Registry oflife.com, we are strongly committed to protecting your privacy. The information we collect about you is used to process your Living Registry web site. When you create a Living Registry, we need your name, address, e-mail address, credit card number and credit card expiration date to activate your account. Your credit card will not be charged during the initial 14-day trial period.
During the payment process, our system works with the browser on your computer to establish a secure, encrypted connection using an Internet standard technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This encrypted connection prevents information from being intercepted as it travels the Internet between our systems. AOL, Internet Explorer, and Netscape all use SSL to protect transactions.
Your credit card information is sent through a secure connection to our credit card processor, PayPal, and is never retained on our server. All other information is stored in a secured database, only accessible to employees with access rights to this information.
If for any reason these systems fail and unauthorized charges are made to your account, the Fair Credit Billing Act stipulates that your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. This protection applies only to credit cards (not debit cards) issued under the laws of the United States of America. Credit cards issued in other countries may afford similar protection.
